Today, the angry students, former students ,local residents  blocked the Hili-Balurghat National Highway No. 512. for several hours demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants involved in this incident.

Due to the protest, traffic on the National Highway No. 512 was blocked. District Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Naseem spoke to the protesting students to bring the situation under control. During the protest, when the school headmaster’s car reached the spot, the protestors got angry and tried to vandalize  the headmaster’s car as well.

Nandita Mahant, one of the protesting students, said ,” a teacher can rule on character building apart from studies. It is totally unacceptable that for a trivial issue outsiders entered the school and molested one of our teachers. This is very shocking. In protest we have blocked the road so that the aministration moves towards arrest of those miscreants”
