COPS DONATED BLOOD TO FIGHT CRISIS OF BLOOD

Balurghat,30 November: People who are habituated to see the men in  Khakhi  discharging  duties  in rough and tough manner got overwhelmed today when they saw the philanthropic approach of the cops by coming forward to donate blood alongside their duties.

This happened today at Hili police station premises where police personnel donated blood alongside their duties at the call of their higher authority.

Sources said that the blood bank authority had approached the district level police authority appealing the cops to donate blood as the blood bank got almost dried.

In response Hili police organized a camp today where more than 40 personnel including 3 women donated blood in presence of police superintendent Rahul Dey, additional SP , recipient of Bangaratna and a social worker Amulya Ratan Biswas and  Dwaraka Nandaji Majaraj of Bharat Sevashram Teor and Sarbani Niogi, secretary of Dakshin Dinajp[ur Votluntary blood donors’ Forum.

“At the instruction of SP sir we have organized today’s camp to assist the blood bank authority as the blood bank is grappled with acute crisis of blood. We are happy to donate blood  .We urge the common people to come forward and donate blood “ said Ganesh Sharma, IC of Hili police station.

Sources said that police administration has planned to organize blood donation camps at various police stations across the district throughout the year to combat crisis of blood.
