Sensitization Programme on Anti-Trafficking, Domestic Violence and Mental Health


Our correspondent Hili,19 September : A Sensitization Programme on anti-Trafficking, domestic violence and mental health was held today at the meeting of Hili Block. Chairperson of Women Protection Commission Lina Gangopadhyay was present in this special sensitization program.

Assistant Chairperson Mahua Paja, District Social Welfare Officer Biplab Sen, Women Protection Officer Tarun Samant, Hilli Block BDO Amitdev Mondal, Hilli Police Station IC Ganesh Sharma, prominent philanthropist Amulya Ratan Biswas, Assistant Commandant Baluara BSF Shubham Malik, Hilli Block ADA Akash Saha, Joint Collective Development Officer Nishad Ahmed, Hilli Panchayat Samiti President Shubhankar Mahato, SI of School Suman Sengupta and many others were present. Today’s sensitization program was addressed by Chairperson Leena Gangopadhyay, Mahua Paja and other officials. Through her speech, the chairperson shed light on various problems related to women’s protection in West Bengal and their remedies. In today’s event, Anganari workers, Asha workers, high school teachers and students of the Hili Block area, along with youth community people were present. At the end of the program, a documentary film was shown by the West Bengal Women’s Commission. Later , during an interactive session,the chairperson of the Women’s Commission Lina Gangopadhyay answered the questions of the women present. The entire program was presented by social activist Suraj Das.
