Gangarampur 24 August: Balurghat MP and BJP’s state president Sukanta Majumdar slammed the state government over inaction to investigate intricately regarding the whereabouts of the youth ,arrested in charges of alleged involvement with militant outfit.
Notably,a few days ago, the STF arrested two suspected Al-Qaeda militants from Shashan, North Twenty-four Parganas. Among the two arrested militants, Abdur Rakib Sarkar is a resident of Ausha village of Uday gram- panchayat under Gangarampur police station in South Dinajpur.
.Today BJP organized a protest meeting in front of Gangarampur police station where Balurghat MP and state BJP president Sukant Majumder lambasted police for inaction to investigate regarding whereabouts of the arrested youth.
”We all know that a youth namely Rakib has been recently arrested from Barasat for alleged involvement with Al-Qaeda. But it is surprising to see that police here, have remained inactive to know the whereabouts of the youth as where the arrested youth used to teach or move. Police have done nothing significant so far. In protest , we have organized today’s rally”.
