Balurghat,19 July: With the aim to celebrate the Vanomhotsav week the Tulip institute of Balurghat undertook a tree plantation programmme at the premises of the institute today.
Expressing concern over the prevailing exceptionally hot atmosphere especially in the entire North Bengal region Samir Sikdar, Balurghat forest ranger insisted on growing needs for more such programme to raise consciousness amongst the little learners.
He said, frequent cutting of trees is causing intense heat flow across the state. Meanwhile, the forest festival week has been started across the state. Plantation is the only way to reduce this heat flow. Children are the future of the society.So to highlight the need of trees it is highly needed that the children should be made aware of the imminent danger due to deforestation”.
Secretary of Dakshin Dinajpur Journalists’ Club Anup Sanyal and other dignitaries were present in this event. On the occasion of this day’s event, the enthusiasm of the young students in this institute was visible.
